Para desplegar una red de telecomunicaciones es necesario instalar una infraestructura en un área determinada, denominada zona, que forma parte del sistema de  cobertura, para brindar servicios de telecomunicaciones. 

Estos sitios incluyen los espacios físicos en los que se instalan diversos elementos de la red, incluida la infraestructura activa, donde se ubican el procesamiento de señales,  como  antenas, portadores, sintetizadores; así como  infraestructura pasiva,  como torres, postes o mástiles; en el que se colocan  antenas, que transmiten y reciben  señales.

Por medio de visitas y operativos de verificación y vigilancia se cuida que se cumplan las disposiciones legales. De encontrar irregularidades puede imponer sanciones como multas, clausuras e incluso la destrucción de productos.

  • Atención a visitas de verificación sustanciadas por el Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones.

  • Estudio de la orden de visita, atención a los inspectores y verificadores, así como desahogo a los cuestionamientos esgrimidos por el Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones.
